I have got some mails on link building from past two days, here is my way of doing it.

Question was, what if I stop link building for a site where I builded it for about last six months, will major search engines like Google continue to rank high or does Google hold you where you are as it’s not finding new links?

My answer : Basically it depends on a lot of factors like : domain age, niche you choosen, back links, compititors.

If the niche we choosen was a very compititive then it’s likely going to go down as other optimizers taking ahead of your work, if its not that much compititive then it might get replaced by old domain which already having a good PR, and if he is doing same keyword optimization with your keyword. Sometimes onpage optimisation may get you good ranking for non-copetitive terms, but not for long term unless old domainer in race with you.

But some of the backlinks from directories will take some time to establish. So there is a small probability that you get good results in future.

But Don’t stop link building.This will help your competitors to be at the top, and moreover you don’t only need good amount of links to top search engines - just good content with error free coding will add it to rank high in serps, every factor matters even 1% can make big difference, may be your ranking at top 20 if you concentrate on that 1% it might be possible that google rank you on top 10 .

Try to get quality links which relates to your topic, preferably one-way or three way also do, sometime it feels like I’m running out of places to get my link, but there’s always more!
